How did you come to work at EDAG / why did you start down an engineering career path?

Throughout my childhood, I was always obsessed with cars. I knew that when I got older I wanted to “make cars”, as I used to call it. When I was in the 4th grade, I had an assignment to write a poem about what I do during the weekends. I wrote about being at the mechanic shop with my father. When my teacher read my poem, she asked me what I wanted to become when I got older. I told her I wanted to “make cars”, so she encouraged me to consider a career in the mechanical engineering field. Ever since that day, I had a passion for engineering.

Fast forward to my senior year at the University of Michigan, I was ready to get a head start to my career as an intern. So I searched for a company to apply to, and I came across EDAG. My initial thought about EDAG was that it would be the perfect match for me.

What do you like most about working at EDAG?

At EDAG the work environment is comfortable and friendly. There are many like-minded people who team up together to come up with innovative ideas.

What does a typical work day look like for you?

After my commute to the office, I walk into the office and am greeted by friendly and familiar faces. No two days will be the same here at EDAG. Some days are spent resolving engineering issues, and some days are spent testing and validating engineering solutions.

What are some of your hobbies / what do you do outside of work?

During the warmer seasons, you would find me either working on my project car, cruising with my friends, or attending car shows. When the weather isn’t suitable to be spending time outside, I like to complete small projects like home improvements, or play video games.
